Ingredients

  • 1 - 9 Inch pie crust, baked
  • 0.33 Cups butter, melted
  • 0.5 Cups pecans, chopped
  • 0.33 Cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 - 5 Ounces (oz) vanilla pudding mix, packaged
  • 3 Cups milk
  • 1 - 8 Ounces (oz) whipped topping, thawed

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). In a saucepan, heat the butter, brown sugar, and chopped pecans until melted. Spread this mixture evenly in the bottom of the baked pie shell. Bake for 5 minutes, then remove and let cool.
  2. Prepare the vanilla pudding mix with milk as directed on the package for a pie. Allow it to cool for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Measure out 1 cup of the pudding, cover with waxed paper, and chill thoroughly. Pour the remaining pudding into the pie shell and chill.
  3. Fold 0.33 cup of the whipped topping into the 1 cup of reserved pudding. Spread this mixture over the pecan layer in the pie shell. Chill the pie until set.
  4. Garnish the pie with the remaining whipped topping and additional chopped pecans before serving. Enjoy your Holiday Praline Delite Pie!
