Ingredients

  • 1 - 29 Ounces (oz) can sliced peaches
  • 2 - Tablespoons (tbsp) butter, melted
  • 1 - Pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 - Pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 - Tablespoon (tbsp) cornstarch
  • 0.5 - Cups water
  • 1 - Cups milk
  • 1 - Cups white sugar
  • 1 - Cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 - Teaspoons (tsp) baking powder
  • 1 - Pinch salt
  • 0.5 - Cups butter
  • 1 - Teaspoon (tsp) ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 - Teaspoon (tsp) ground nutmeg

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with their juice, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, a pinch of cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  3. Dissolve the cornstarch in water, then stir it into the peach mixture and set aside.
  4. In another bowl, combine milk, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat until smooth; the mixture will be thin.
  5. Melt 0.5 cups of butter in a 9x13 inch pan.
  6. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the pan.
  7. Scoop the peaches out of the bowl and spoon them over the batter.
  8. Sprinkle the top with additional cinnamon and nutmeg.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
