- 1.25 Cups (cups) white sugar
- 1.125 Cups (cups) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 Pinch salt
- 4 Cups (cups) all-purpose flour
- 1.5 Teaspoons (tsp) lemon zest, grated
- 2 Large egg yolks, whisked
- 1 Pinch seasonal colored sprinkles, to taste

- Whisk the eggs in a large bowl. Add the sugar and beat until the mixture is thick and pale, about 10 minutes. Mix in the melted butter and salt. Gradually fold in the flour and lemon zest. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour, preferably overnight.
