- 0.25 Cup butter, softened

- 0.5 Cup cold water
- 3 Cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 Cup fresh blueberries
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) butter
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) lemon juice
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) granulated sugar, coarse
- 0.25 Teaspoon (tsp) nutmeg, ground
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, 0.5 cup white sugar, and baking powder. Mix in the milk and 0.25 cup softened butter until smooth.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, cornstarch, and cold water. Add the peaches and blueberries. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Mix in 1 tablespoon butter and lemon juice, and continue cooking until the butter melts.
- Pour the fruit mixture into a 1.5-quart ungreased baking dish. Evenly spoon the batter in mounds over the hot fruit.
- In a small bowl, mix the coarse sugar and nutmeg, then sprinkle over the batter.
- Place the baking dish on a shallow baking pan in the preheated oven. Bake the cobbler for about 35 minutes, or until bubbly and a toothpick inserted into the crust comes out clean.
