Ingredients

  • 0.25 Cups butter, melted
  • 1.25 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Cup white sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 0.25 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 0.5 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 Cups fresh peaches, sliced

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Melt the butter in a 9 x 13 inch pan and set aside to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Mix in the milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the pan. Do not mix or stir.
  6. Spoon the sliced peaches with their juice over the batter. Again, do not mix or stir.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your cobbler warm or cold, with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
