Ingredients

  • 3 Cups (cups) all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 Cups (cups) white sugar
  • 0.5 Teaspoons (tsp) salt
  • 1 Cups (cups) butter
  • 1.5 Cups (cups) light corn syrup
  • 1.5 Cups (cups) white sugar
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) butter, melted
  • 1.5 Teaspoons (tsp) vanilla extract
  • 2.5 Cups (cups) pecans, minced

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 10x15-inch jellyroll pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, 0.5 cup sugar, and salt. Cut in 1 cup of butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan to form a crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  4. While the crust is baking, mix the corn syrup, 1.5 cups sugar, eggs, 3 tablespoons melted butter, and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in the minced pecans.
  5. Once the crust is done, pour the pecan mixture evenly over the hot crust.
  6. Return the pan to the oven and bake until the filling is set, about 25 minutes.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into bars.
