  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) cinnamon, ground
  • 12 Ounces (oz) apple juice concentrate, unsweetened
  • 6 Cups apples, sliced
  • 1 Recipe pastry for a 9-inch double crust pie

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, ground cinnamon, and 3 ounces (1/4 of the total) of the apple juice concentrate until smooth.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, simmer the sliced apples in the remaining apple juice concentrate until they are tender.
  4. Add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan and stir continuously until the mixture thickens.
  5. Pour the apple filling into the bottom crust of your prepared pie pastry.
  6. Cover the filling with the top crust, sealing the edges.
