- 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) turmeric, ground
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) cumin, ground
- 2 Teaspoons (tsp) mustard seeds
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) cumin seeds
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) coriander, ground
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) ginger, ground
- 1 Pinch cayenne pepper, seasoned
- 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) rice vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) vegetable oil
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brown rice flour and whole wheat flour. Gradually stir in the water to form a thin batter.
- Add the minced onion, minced garlic, torn cilantro, sugar, ground turmeric, ground cumin, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, ground coriander, ground ginger, seasoned cayenne pepper, and rice vinegar to the batter. Mix until evenly blended.
- Cover the batter and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for enhanced flavor.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Pour 0.25 cups of the batter into the skillet, spreading it thinly over the bottom.
- Cook for 1 minute, then flip and cook for an additional minute.
