Ingredients

  • 2 Cups white sugar
  • 1 Cup peanut butter
  • 1 Cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 Cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) vanilla extract
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2.25 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) baking soda
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1.5 Cups rolled oats
  • 1.5 Cups raisins
  • 6 Cups toasted oat cereal rings

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a very large bowl, mix together the sugar, peanut butter, butter, water, vanilla, and eggs until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir this mixture into the wet ingredients.
  4. Mix in the oats and raisins, then carefully fold in the cereal.
  5. Drop 1/2 cupfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them about 4 inches apart. Flatten each cookie to 1 inch thick.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are lightly browned, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Allow the cookies to stand on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
  8. Store at room temperature and enjoy as a quick breakfast or snack!
