Ingredients
- 1 Cup butter, melted
- 2 Ounces (oz) unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 Ounce (oz) milk chocolate, melted
- 0.75 Cups white sugar, divided
- 0.5 Cups brown sugar, packed
- 1 Large egg
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) vanilla extract
- 2 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) baking soda
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) cinnamon, ground
- 0.25 Teaspoon (tsp) salt
Steps
- Microwave butter, unsweetened chocolate, and milk chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl for 15-second intervals, stirring after each, until butter is melted (about 2 minutes). Stir until chocolate is melted and combined.
- Stir 0.5 cup white sugar and brown sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until well blended. Add egg and vanilla extract, stirring until completely blended.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Add the chocolate mixture to the flour mixture, mixing until well combined. Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the remaining 0.25 cup white sugar in a small, shallow bowl.
- Remove dough from the refrigerator and roll into 1-inch balls. If too firm, knead dough before shaping. Roll balls in sugar, place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets, and flatten with the bottom of a glass or spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven until cookies are set, 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool.
Enjoy these delightful cookies with your loved ones!
