Ingredients

  • 0.5 Cups butter, melted
  • 1 Cup white sugar
  • 2 Whole eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.33 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 Cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 0.25 Teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 Teaspoon baking powder

Frosting

  • 3 Tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup confectioners' sugar

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually stir this dry mixture into the wet mixture until well blended.
  4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Let them cool in the pan on a wire rack.
  6. For the frosting, combine the softened butter, cocoa powder, honey, vanilla extract, and confectioners' sugar in a small bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  7. Once the brownies have cooled, spread the frosting evenly over the top. Cut into squares and serve.
