- 5 Teaspoons (tsp) cornstarch, sifted
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) dark rum
- 0.5 Cups whole milk
- 0.25 Cups white sugar
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) vanilla extract
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan with butter.
- In a small skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the sliced apple, raisins, 1 tablespoon of rum, and a pinch of cinnamon. Cook until the apples are soft, about 10 minutes. Toss the apple mixture with the bread cubes and spoon into the prepared pan.
