  • 1.5 Cups margarine
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 5 Large eggs
  • 2 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 24 Small peppermint patties

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

  4. Spread the remaining batter in the prepared pan. Arrange the peppermint patties in a single layer over the batter, about 1/2-inch apart. Spread the reserved 2 cups of batter over the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until the edges begin to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 50 to 55 minutes.
