  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) butter, melted
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) brown sugar, packed
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) white sugar
  • 1 Pinch salt
  • 1 Pinch baking soda
  • 1 Splash vanilla extract
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 0.25 Cups all-purpose flour, sifted

Steps

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, melt the chocolate chips and butter in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
  2. Add the brown sugar, white sugar, salt, baking soda, and vanilla extract to the mug. Mix until combined.
  3. Stir in the egg yolk until well incorporated.
  4. Add the all-purpose flour and mix until the batter is smooth and blended.
  5. Microwave the mixture until a crust forms on top but the center remains fudgy, about 35 seconds. For a drier consistency, microwave for an additional 5 to 10 seconds.
