- 1.5 Teaspoons (tsp) vanilla extract
- 1 Cup milk
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) Key lime juice
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
- In a large bowl, beat 2 cups of sugar, 1 cup of butter, and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in 2 tablespoons of rum, Key lime zest, 2 teaspoons of Key lime juice, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
