  • 4 Slices bacon, cooked
  • 2 15 Ounces (oz) cans green beans, drained
  • 1 10.75 Ounces (oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 8 Ounces (oz) can water chestnuts, drained
  • 0.75 Cups milk
  • 1 Pinch ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1.33 Cups French-fried onions

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble, and set aside.
  3. In a 1.5-quart casserole dish, mix together the green beans, condensed cream of mushroom soup, water chestnuts, crumbled bacon, milk, and ground black pepper.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until heated through, about 30 minutes.
  5. Stir the casserole and top with French-fried onions. Bake until the onions are golden brown, about 5 minutes more.
