- 0.75 Cups plain lowfat yogurt
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) salt
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) black pepper
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) cayenne pepper
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) mustard powder
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) garlic powder
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) horseradish
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) fresh parsley, minced
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) fresh cilantro, minced
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) chipotle-flavored hot sauce
- 2 Pounds (lb) lean ground beef
Steps
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced red onion and minced garlic; cook and stir until the onion softens and begins to turn brown, about 8 minutes.
- Transfer the cooked onion and garlic to a large bowl. Add the yogurt, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, mustard powder, garlic powder, horseradish, parsley, cilantro, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and hot sauce. Whisk together until smooth.
- Mix in the ground beef until evenly blended with the yogurt mixture. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Shape the beef mixture into 6 patties, each 1/2 inch thick and 5 inches across.
