Ingredients

  • 1 Pound (lb) fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 0.5 Cups (cup) water
  • 0.25 Cups (cup) Italian-style seasoned bread crumbs
  • 0.25 Cups (cup) olive oil
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 Pinch pepper, to taste
  • 0.25 Teaspoons (tsp) garlic powder
  • 0.25 Teaspoons (tsp) dried oregano
  • 0.25 Teaspoons (tsp) dried basil
  • 0.25 Cups (cup) Parmesan cheese, grated

Steps

  1. Combine the green beans and 0.5 cups of water in a medium pot. Cover and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium and let the beans cook for 10 minutes, or until tender. Drain well.
  3. Place the beans in a medium serving bowl.
  4. Mix in the bread crumbs, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, and basil. Toss the mixture until the beans are well coated.
  5. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
