Serving Size: 6

Cooking Time: 32 minutes

Ingredients

  • 10 Whole garlic cloves, peeled
  • 0.5 Cups grapeseed oil
  • 1.5 Pounds large shrimp, peeled
  • 1 Whole cacho de cabra pepper, sliced
  • 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) pisco
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 Pinch cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 1 Whole lime, cut

Steps

  1. Place the garlic cloves and grapeseed oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Allow the garlic to slowly turn golden brown as the oil heats up. Continue cooking until the garlic is golden-brown and the oil is hot.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet, stirring to coat them with the oil. Cook for 15 seconds before adding the chile pepper.
  3. Continue cooking until the shrimp are pink and firm. Pour in the pisco, and cook for an additional 30 seconds to let the alcohol evaporate.
  4. Season with salt to taste, then transfer the mixture to a serving dish.
  5. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper and garnish with lime wedges before serving. Enjoy your flavorful Chilean-style prawns!
