  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) garlic, minced
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) red pepper flakes
  • 1 Pound beef flank steak, sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) peanut oil
  • 2 Large green onions, sliced

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Toss the sliced beef with the marinade, cover the bowl, and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight for more intense flavor.
  3. Heat the peanut oil in a wok or large nonstick skillet over high heat.
  4. Add the green onions to the hot oil and stir-fry for 5 to 10 seconds.
  5. Remove the beef from the marinade and add it to the wok with the green onions, discarding the marinade.
