Ingredients
- 1 - 8 Ounces (oz) package manicotti pasta
- 1 - Pint (pt) part-skim ricotta cheese
- 2 - Whole eggs, whisked
- 1 - Medium onion, minced
- 0.25 - Cups Romano cheese, grated
- 1 - Tablespoon (tbsp) chicken bouillon powder
- 0.5 - Teaspoons (tsp) garlic salt
- 0.125 - Teaspoons (tsp) dried thyme
- 1 - Pinch black pepper, ground
- 1 - 10 Ounces (oz) package frozen spinach, drained
- 1 - 8 Ounces (oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 - Cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Steps
- In a large pot, cook the manicotti pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Rinse with warm water and drain.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, whisked eggs, minced onion, grated Romano cheese, chicken bouillon powder, garlic salt, dried thyme, ground black pepper, and drained spinach.
- To assemble, fill the manicotti noodles with the cheese filling. Arrange the filled noodles in a greased 9x13 inch pan. Pour the tomato sauce down the center of the shells and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
