Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds (lb) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 10.5 Ounces (oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2 Cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 8 Ounces (oz) container sour cream
  • 1 Cup butter, melted
  • 0.5 Cup onion, minced
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) salt
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) ground black pepper
  • 1 Cup crushed cornflakes

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the hash browns, Cheddar cheese, condensed soup, sour cream, 0.5 cup of the melted butter, onion, salt, and pepper.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the crushed cornflakes evenly over the top of the casserole.
  5. Drizzle the remaining 0.5 cup of melted butter over the cornflakes.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the sauce is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
