Ingredients
- 4 Whole chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) kosher salt
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) black pepper, ground
- 1 Pinch black pepper, to taste
- 2 10.5 Ounces (oz) condensed cream of celery soup
- 1 Cup sour cream
- 0.33 Cup white wine
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) garlic powder
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) onion powder
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) fresh parsley, torn
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Season the chicken breasts with 0.5 teaspoon of salt and 0.25 teaspoon of black pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear each side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Remove from heat.
- In a medium bowl, combine the condensed cream of celery soup, sour cream, white wine, garlic powder, onion powder, and the remaining salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Place the seared chicken breasts in a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the chicken reads at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
- Serve hot over a bed of rice or with a side of crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
