Ingredients

  • 2.5 Tablespoons (tbsp) paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) salt
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) dried thyme
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) ground black pepper
  • 4 Skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grate.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, thyme, cayenne pepper, and ground black pepper.
  3. Set aside 3 tablespoons of the spice mixture for the chicken and store the remainder in an airtight container for later use.
  4. Rub the reserved 3 tablespoons of spice mixture all over the chicken breasts.
  5. Cook the chicken on the preheated grill for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until the juices run clear. Ensure an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
