  • 0.5 Cup (cup) vegetable oil
  • 0.25 Cup (cup) cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) garlic powder
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) black pepper, ground
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) salt
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) dried basil
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) dried thyme
  • 4 Whole chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
  • 4 Large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 Large onions, sliced
  • 2 Large green bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 Cups sliced button mushrooms

Steps

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, cider vinegar, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, basil, and thyme. Set the sauce aside.
  3. Prepare four 12x12-inch squares of aluminum foil. Place one chicken breast in the center of each square. Top with potatoes, onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms.
  4. Pour 1/4 of the prepared sauce over each chicken and vegetable pile. Fold the foil around the ingredients to form four sealed packets.
  5. Grill the packets on the preheated grill for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender. Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  6. Carefully open the foil packets and serve the chicken and vegetables hot. Enjoy the ease of cleanup and the flavorful meal!
