- 0.5 Cups (cup) hot red pepper sauce
- 0.5 Cups (cup) brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) honey
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) olive oil
- 1 - 2 Pounds (lb) boneless salmon fillet
- 0.25 Cups (cup) green onions, minced
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 1 Pinch black pepper, ground
Steps
- In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the hot sauce, brown sugar, melted butter, honey, and lemon juice. Stir continuously for 3 to 4 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is well blended. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Coat a casserole dish with olive oil. Poke holes in the salmon with a fork, then place it into the dish. Pour the reserved sauce over the fish, top with minced green onions, and season with salt and pepper. Marinate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 C).
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven, uncovered, until the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 25 minutes.
