Ingredients

  • 0.5 Cups (cup) hot red pepper sauce
  • 0.5 Cups (cup) brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) butter, melted
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) honey
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) olive oil
  • 1 - 2 Pounds (lb) boneless salmon fillet
  • 0.25 Cups (cup) green onions, minced
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 Pinch black pepper, ground

Steps

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the hot sauce, brown sugar, melted butter, honey, and lemon juice. Stir continuously for 3 to 4 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is well blended. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Coat a casserole dish with olive oil. Poke holes in the salmon with a fork, then place it into the dish. Pour the reserved sauce over the fish, top with minced green onions, and season with salt and pepper. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 C).
  4. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven, uncovered, until the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 25 minutes.
