Cooking Time: 60 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 Cups (c) molasses
- 1 Cup (c) apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) honey
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) brown sugar
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) ground ginger
- 3 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 1 Pinch pepper, to taste
- 1.5 Pounds (lb) pork tenderloin
Steps
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the molasses, apple cider vinegar, honey, brown sugar, crushed red pepper flakes, ground ginger, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined. Reserve 1 cup of this mixture for basting.
- Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag and pour the remaining marinade over it. Seal the bag, ensuring the tenderloin is well-coated, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for deeper flavor.
- Preheat your outdoor grill to medium heat. Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking.
- Remove the pork tenderloin from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Discard the used marinade.
- Place the tenderloin on the preheated grill. Cook for approximately 20 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with the reserved marinade, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare or 160°F (71°C) for medium.
- Once cooked, remove the tenderloin from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a moist and tender result.
- Slice the pork tenderloin and serve with your choice of roasted or mashed potatoes and a side of vegetables. Enjoy the rich, spiced flavors of this delightful dish!
