Cooking Time: 75 minutes

Ingredients

  • 24 Ounces (oz) frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 0.33 Cups butter, melted
  • 1 Cup cooked ham, diced
  • 1 Cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 0.5 Cup heavy whipping cream
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) black pepper, ground
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) kosher salt
  • 0.5 Cup onion, minced
  • 0.25 Cup red bell pepper, minced

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. Squeeze the hash browns to remove excess moisture. In a large bowl, combine the hash browns with melted butter, salt, and pepper. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 10-inch pie pan to form a crust.
  3. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until it starts to turn golden brown.
  4. Remove the crust from the oven and evenly distribute the diced ham, shredded cheese, minced onion, and minced red bell pepper over the crust.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy whipping cream until well combined. Pour the egg mixture over the ham and cheese in the crust.
  6. Return the quiche to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is lightly browned.
  7. Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your savory breakfast delight!
