- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 3 Medium leeks, sliced
- 1 Medium onion, sliced
- 5 Medium potatoes, peeled
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 1 Pinch pepper, to taste
- 0.5 Teaspoon dried marjoram
- 0.25 Teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 Whole bay leaf
- 5 Cups chicken broth
- 0.25 Cups heavy whipping cream
Steps
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced leeks and onion, cooking until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the potatoes, salt, pepper, marjoram, thyme, and bay leaf.
