Ingredients
- 1 16 Ounces (oz) jar processed cheese sauce
- 1.5 Cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 Cup sour cream
- 1 10.75 Ounces (oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 10.75 Ounces (oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 0.5 Cup whole milk
- 0.5 Cup butter, melted
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 1 Pinch pepper, to taste
- 2 Pounds frozen hash brown potatoes, drained
- 2 Cups panko breadcrumbs
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) fresh parsley, minced
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the processed cheese sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, milk, and half of the melted butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.
- Add the thawed hash brown potatoes to the cheese mixture and stir until the potatoes are evenly coated.
- Transfer the potato mixture into the prepared casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with the remaining melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the potato casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and the casserole is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
