  • 1.5 Cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 Cup sour cream
  • 10.75 Ounce (oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 10.75 Ounce (oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 0.5 Cup whole milk
  • 0.5 Cup butter, melted
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 Pinch pepper, to taste
  • 2 Pounds (lb) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 2 Cups panko bread crumbs
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) fresh parsley, minced (optional for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the processed cheese sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, milk, and half of the melted butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add the thawed hash brown potatoes to the cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
