Serving Size: 9
Cooking Time: 65 minutes
Ingredients
- 18 Slices bacon
- 1.5 Cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 Head butter lettuce, torn
- 1 Cup Cheddar cheese, shredded (optional)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Turn two muffin tins upside down and cover the outside of 9 cups with aluminum foil. This will serve as the mold for your bacon bowls.
- Lay out 9 strips of bacon vertically on a flat surface. Weave 9 more strips horizontally through the vertical strips to create a tight bacon mat. Cut this mat into 9 even squares.
- Drape each bacon square over the foil-covered muffin cups, pressing gently to shape them into bowls.
- Place the muffin tins in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and golden. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
- Carefully remove the bacon bowls from the muffin tins and allow them to cool completely. Once cooled, fill each bowl with a handful of torn butter lettuce and a few halved cherry tomatoes.
- If desired, sprinkle a generous amount of shredded Cheddar cheese over the top of each filled bacon bowl.
- Arrange the bacon bowls on a serving platter and serve at room temperature. Enjoy the delightful combination of crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and juicy tomatoes.
