- 1 Pound (lb) loaf day-old bread, torn
- 10.75 Ounces (oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup, packaged
- 10.5 Ounces (oz) vegetable broth, packaged
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) water
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) poultry seasoning
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 1 Pinch ground black pepper, to taste
- 0.5 Cups wild rice, cooked (Optional)
- 0.25 Cups dried cranberries (Optional)
- 0.5 Cups fresh mushrooms, sliced (Optional)
- 0.5 Cups chopped pecans (Optional)
- 0.25 Cups cubed apples, diced (Optional)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the torn bread pieces, cream of mushroom soup, vegetable broth, water, poultry seasoning, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- If desired, add any or all of the optional ingredients: cooked wild rice, dried cranberries, fresh mushrooms, chopped pecans, and cubed apples. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and wrap it in nonstick, sprayed foil.
- Place the wrapped loaf on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about an hour.
- Once baked, remove from the oven, unwrap, and slice like a meatloaf. Serve warm and enjoy!
