Ingredients

  • 1 Pound (lb) asparagus spears, peeled
  • 0.33 Cups margarine, melted
  • 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) sesame seed, toasted
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) lemon juice
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 Pinch pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. Place the asparagus in a large pot filled with water 1 inch deep. Bring to a boil, and cook until tender but still bright green, about 5 minutes. Drain and place on a serving dish.
  2. Meanwhile, melt the margarine in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the sesame seeds, and cook, stirring frequently, until they are golden brown and toasted, about 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice and parsley; season to taste with salt and pepper.
