  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) golden syrup
  • 0.875 Cups butter, melted
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) baking soda
  • 1 Cup flaked coconut
  • 1 Cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 Cup white sugar
  • 2 Cups rolled oats

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter and golden syrup together. Once boiling, add the baking soda. The mixture should become frothy.
  2. Stir in the flaked coconut, all-purpose flour, white sugar, and rolled oats. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Lightly press the mixture into a large baking tray, ensuring an even layer.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes.
