Ingredients
- 8 Cups water
- 1 Teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 Tablespoon hot pepper sauce
- 2 Medium carrots, sliced
- 4 Ounces fresh mushrooms
- 10 Ounces package frozen okra, sliced
- 0.25 Cups wild rice
- 1 Skinless, boneless chicken breast half, cubed
- 1.5 Cups rotini pasta
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 1 Pinch ground black pepper, to taste
- 3 Green onions, sliced
Steps
- Bring 8 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Season with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 tablespoon of hot pepper sauce.
- Add 2 sliced carrots and 4 ounces of fresh mushrooms to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add 10 ounces of sliced okra, 0.25 cups of wild rice, and the cubed chicken breast. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 3 hours.
- After 3 hours, add 1.5 cups of rotini pasta to the pot. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Season the soup with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
- Serve the soup hot, garnished with sliced green onions. Enjoy!
