  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) olive oil
  • 1 Medium onion, minced
  • 2 Stalks celery, minced
  • 3 Cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Teaspoons (tsp) dried parsley
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 Teaspoon (tsp) crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 14.5 Ounces (oz) can chicken broth
  • 2 Medium tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 8 Ounces (oz) can tomato sauce
  • 0.5 Cup ditalini pasta
  • 1 15 Ounces (oz) can cannellini beans, packaged

Steps

  1. Gather all the ingredients.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and salt. Cook and stir until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the chicken broth, tomato sauce, and chopped tomatoes. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Add the pasta and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in the packaged cannellini beans and cook until heated through, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
