- 2 Pounds (lb) venison stew meat
- 3 Cups (cups) cabbage, chopped
- 3 Large potatoes, cubed
- 2 15.25 Ounces (oz) cans whole kernel corn, drained

- 2 15 Ounces (oz) cans carrots, drained
- 2 15 Ounces (oz) cans green beans, drained
- 2 15 Ounces (oz) cans diced tomatoes with juice
- 1 64 Fluid Ounces (fl oz) bottle tomato juice
- 1 32 Fluid Ounces (fl oz) container beef broth
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) white sugar
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) beef bouillon granules
- 2 Teaspoons (tsp) black pepper, ground
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) salt
- 1 Pinch ground cumin
- 1 Pinch ground mustard
- 1 Pinch curry powder
- 1 Pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 Pinch dried parsley
- 1 Pinch Italian seasoning
- 1 Pinch garlic powder
Steps
- In a very large stockpot, melt 0.5 cup of butter over medium-high heat. Add the venison cubes and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the remaining 1 cup of butter to the pot. Stir in the chopped cabbage, cubed potatoes, drained corn, peas, carrots, green beans, and diced tomatoes with their juice.
- Pour in the tomato juice and beef broth. Stir in the white sugar, beef bouillon granules, ground black pepper, salt, cumin, mustard, curry powder, cayenne pepper, dried parsley, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
- Increase the heat to high and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and let the stew simmer, uncovered, for about 1.5 hours, or until the venison is tender and the soup has thickened slightly.
