  • 0.75 Cups white sugar
  • 0.33 Cups butter, softened
  • 2 Teaspoons almond extract
  • 6 Ounces cream cheese
  • 2 Cups Make Ahead Cookie Mix
  • 1 Whole egg, separated
  • 0.25 Cups sliced almonds

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the white sugar and almond extract, then set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the softened butter, cream cheese, and egg yolk. Stir in the Make Ahead Cookie Mix until well blended.
  4. Roll the dough onto a flat surface and cut it in half. Place one half on a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Spoon the almond and sugar mixture over the dough on the cookie sheet.
  6. Place the second half of the dough on top of the almond and sugar mixture.
  7. Brush the top with the slightly beaten egg white.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 22 to 30 minutes.
