Ingredients
- 1 Pound (lb) uncooked spaghetti
- 0.5 Cups grated Parmesan cheese, grated
- 0.5 Cups ricotta cheese
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) Italian seasoning
- 4 Egg whites, whisked
- 0.25 Cups fresh basil, torn
- 2 Whole tomatoes, sliced
- 4 Slices provolone cheese, divided
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x3 inch springform pan with cooking spray.
- Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Rinse with cold water and drain.
- While the spaghetti is cooking, combine Parmesan cheese, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, and egg whites in a large bowl. Toss with the cooked spaghetti to coat.
- Press half of the spaghetti mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Sprinkle with half of the basil, and top with half of the tomatoes and half of the provolone cheese. Press the remaining spaghetti mixture into the pan, sprinkle with the remaining basil, and top with the remaining tomatoes. Place the remaining provolone cheese over the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Let stand for about 15 minutes, remove the sides of the pan, and transfer to a serving platter. Cut into wedges to serve.
