Ingredients

  • 3 Cups fresh blackberries
  • 3 Fresh peaches, peeled
  • 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) cornstarch
  • 0.75 Cups white sugar
  • 1 Double crust ready-to-use pie crust
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) butter, melted
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) cinnamon, ground
  • 0.5 Teaspoons (tsp) nutmeg, ground

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the blackberries, peaches, cornstarch, and sugar.
  3. Press one of the pie crusts into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan. Pour the blackberry mixture into the crust and cover with the remaining pie crust. Crimp the edges of the two crusts together to seal. Cut slits in the top of the pie to vent.
  4. Brush the top of the pie with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue to bake until the top crust is golden brown, about 35 to 40 minutes.
