Ingredients
- 14.1 Ounces (oz) package pie pastry, packaged
- 1 Medium carrot, minced
- 1 Head fresh broccoli, minced
- 12 Ounces (oz) boneless chicken breast halves, cooked
- 10.5 Ounces (oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 Cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 0.67 Cup milk
- 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) salt
- 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) garlic powder
- 0.25 Teaspoon (tsp) black pepper
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate with one pie crust. Set the second crust aside.
- Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil. Add broccoli and carrots, cover, and steam until tender but still firm, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the steamed broccoli and carrots, cooked chicken, condensed soup, shredded cheese, milk, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared pie crust. Cover the filling with the remaining pie crust, flute the edges to seal, and cut several slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
