- 2 Cups white sugar
- 0.67 Cup cocoa powder
- 4 Large eggs
- 2 Teaspoons (tsp) vanilla extract
- 1 Cup gluten-free all-purpose baking flour
- 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) gluten-free baking powder
- 0.25 Teaspoon (tsp) salt
- Cheesecake Mix:
- 8 Ounces (oz) cream cheese, packaged
- 0.33 Cup white sugar
- 1 Large egg
- 21 Ounces (oz) cherry pie filling, drained
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in the microwave for about 1 minute. Stir in the sugar and cocoa powder. Blend in the eggs, one at a time, using an electric mixer; add the vanilla extract.
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the batter and mix until well combined. Pour into the prepared baking pan and level with a knife or spatula.
- In a second bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and egg until smooth. Dollop the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter.
- Separate the cherries from the jelled filling and dollop them over the cream cheese mixture. Swirl together using a knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the brownies are set and the edges pull away from the sides of the pan, about 35 to 45 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cool thoroughly before cutting into bars.
