  • 1 Whole (9 inch) deep dish pie crust
  • 5 Cups apples, peeled
  • 0.5 Cups white sugar
  • 0.75 Teaspoons (tsp) cinnamon, ground
  • 0.33 Cups white sugar
  • 0.75 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 Tablespoons (tbsp) butter, cubed

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Arrange the apples in the unbaked pie shell. Mix 0.5 cups of sugar with cinnamon, then sprinkle over the apples.
  3. To make the crumble topping, place 0.33 cups of sugar and flour in a bowl. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Spoon the mixture over the apples.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until the apples are soft and the top is lightly browned, about 40 minutes.
