Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) oil
  • 0.5 Medium red onion, minced
  • 12 Ounces (oz) cranberries
  • 0.25 Cups fresh orange juice
  • 0.25 Cups apple cider vinegar
  • 0.75 Cups white sugar
  • 0.5 Teaspoons (tsp) cinnamon, ground
  • 2 Whole apples, peeled
  • 2 Whole pears, peeled

Steps

  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the minced red onion in the oil for 2 to 3 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the cranberries, orange juice, apple cider vinegar, white sugar, and ground cinnamon with the onion.
  4. Cook the mixture for another 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the peeled apples and pears to the saucepan.
  6. Continue cooking until the cranberries are tender and the mixture thickens, about 10 to 15 minutes.
