Serving Size: 4

Cooking Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 0.5 Cups (cup) white sugar
  • 0.33 Cups (cup) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 Teaspoons (tsp) cinnamon, ground
  • 0.25 Teaspoons (tsp) salt
  • 2 Cups (cup) milk
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) vegetable oil
  • 0.5 Teaspoons (tsp) vanilla extract
  • 4 Day-old biscuits, crumbled

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Add the sugar mixture to the milk mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Cover the bottom of the prepared baking dish with an even layer of crumbled biscuits. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the biscuits, pressing down with the back of a large spoon to moisten them.
  5. Place the baking dish into a larger high-sided baking pan. Set the dish on the oven rack and add enough hot water to come halfway up the sides of the dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the pudding is set.
