Ingredients
- 0.5 Pounds (lb) bacon, sliced
- 4 Large eggs
- 0.25 Cups heavy cream
- 1 Cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 16 Ounces (oz) fettuccine pasta, dry
- 0.25 Cups butter
- 0.25 Cups parsley, minced
- 1 Pinch ground black pepper, to taste
Steps
- Cook and stir the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until evenly browned and crisp, about 10 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, beat together the eggs and cream until just blended. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and set aside.
- Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Cook the pasta in boiling water until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain and return the pasta to the pot.
- Add the softened butter to the pot and toss with the pasta until the butter is melted. Add the bacon and egg-cheese mixture. Stir until the heat of the pasta cooks the eggs. Garnish with parsley and black pepper to serve.
