Ingredients

  • 0.5 Pounds (lb) bacon, sliced
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 0.25 Cups heavy cream
  • 1 Cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 16 Ounces (oz) fettuccine pasta, dry
  • 0.25 Cups butter
  • 0.25 Cups parsley, minced
  • 1 Pinch ground black pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. Cook and stir the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until evenly browned and crisp, about 10 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat together the eggs and cream until just blended. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and set aside.
  3. Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Cook the pasta in boiling water until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain and return the pasta to the pot.
  4. Add the softened butter to the pot and toss with the pasta until the butter is melted. Add the bacon and egg-cheese mixture. Stir until the heat of the pasta cooks the eggs. Garnish with parsley and black pepper to serve.
