Meridol Papaya

Meridol papaya, also known as the "Caribbean Red papaya," is a variety of papaya known for its extra sweetness and large size. It is similar in appearance to the Mexican papaya, with an elongated shape and yellow-green skin when unripe, turning golden as it matures. The flesh is deep orange-red, soft, and incredibly juicy, with a delicate, sweet taste that is often described as slightly more intense than other papaya varieties.

Meridol papayas are usually larger, weighing up to several pounds, and they contain a central cavity filled with small, black seeds.
