- 0.25 Tablespoons (tbsp) butter
- 5 Cups water
- 1 Bunch green onions, minced
- 8 Ounces (oz) can water chestnuts, drained
- 1 Cup celery, minced
- 1 Cup cooked chicken breast meat, shredded
- 0.5 Cups mayonnaise
- 1 Pinch Worcestershire sauce, to taste
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 1 Pinch pepper, to taste
Steps
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the rice-vermicelli mix and butter. Cook and stir until the vermicelli is golden brown.
- Slowly stir in the water and seasoning packet from the rice mix; bring to a boil.
- Cover the saucepan, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until the rice is tender, about 20 to 25 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for 3 to 5 minutes.
