Ingredients

  • 0.75 Cups white sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons butter, softened
  • 0.33 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 Teaspoons nutmeg, ground
  • 6 Whole peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 Whole pastry for a 9-inch single crust pie

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the sugar and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Add the flour and ground nutmeg to the creamed mixture and mix until it becomes mealy.
  4. Spread half of the crumb mixture evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. Arrange the sliced peaches on top of the crumb mixture in the pie crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the peaches.
  7. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking for an additional 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving. Enjoy your delicious peach pie!
